The Listowel Business and Community Alliance (LBCA) is proud to share an overview of its activity and achievements during 2025, highlighting the many ways local businesses, community groups and volunteers are working together to support and promote Listowel.
Supporting Local Business
Membership of the Alliance continued to grow, with 90 businesses now involved in building a stronger and more vibrant Listowel.The Alliance also saw a significant increase in the number of Listowel Vouchers purchased and redeemed, helping to keep money circulating within the local economy and directly supporting Listowel businesses.
Securing Funding for Listowel
Almost €12,000 in grant funding was secured during the year to support local events, town enhancements and community initiatives. This funding helps bring projects and activities to life while contributing to the continued development of the town.
Promoting Listowel
The Alliance continues to proudly represent Listowel through its involvement with eight organisations, attending meetings and events, building connections and ensuring that Listowel remains visible and well represented. Online, the Alliance’s social media channels achieved an impressive 4 million organic impressions during 2025, showcasing Listowel’s businesses, events, festivals, attractions and the many reasons to visit and support our town.
Working Together with Community Groups and Events
A key part of the Alliance’s work is collaboration, and LBCA is delighted to continue supporting local community groups including Listowel Tidy Towns, Listowel Autism Friendly Town and Dementia Inclusive Listowel. The Alliance also proudly supports many of Listowel’s flagship events, including Listowel Food Fair, Listowel Storytelling Festival, Listowel Races, Listowel Visual Arts, Listowel Writers’ Week and Revival. These events play an important role in bringing visitors to the town, supporting local businesses and showcasing Listowel’s unique character.
Taking Listowel Around the World
In 2025, the Alliance also introduced new Listowel merchandise, including its popular hoodies. With Listowel merchandise now travelling around the world, the town continues to be represented far beyond Kerry!
