McMahon House is the former home of Bryan McMahon, the folklorist, writer and poet who contributed much to Listowel's reputation as the 'literary capital of Ireland'. A 19th Century building in the heart of the town centre, McMahon House is recently renovated to a very high standard and now offers flexible guest accommodation.
McMahon House offers bed and breakfast throughout the year for €38 per person for two people sharing.
There are five rooms available including 3 double rooms (all with a spare single bed) and a single room. These rooms benefit from a shared lounge and well-appointed kitchen that has cooking and laundry facilities.
There is also a self-contained family room which comprises a double room, a large sitting room with two single beds and its own kitchen.
All rooms are en-suite and equipped with TV's and hairdryers.
A varied breakfast menu including a vegetarian option is served next door in The Coffee Nook between 9am - 12.30pm.
There is free wi-fi internet access.
